Diaper need is the lack of a sufficient supply of diapers to keep an infant or child clean, dry, and healthy.

the History

When COVID-19 hit our community, we saw a huge increase in requests for diapers-individuals and organizations in the community were coming to us asking for help.

We realized that diaper need was a reality for many in our area BUT there were ZERO diaper banks in the state of Arkansas that are members of the National Diaper Bank Network and distributing diaper regulary to families in need.

We changed that!

In September of 2020, The Diaper Collective formed in partnership with Bread of Life food pantry to address our need for storage and initial distribution. Then we held our first diaper drive and began partnering with agencies to distribute diapers to families in need.

In March 2021, we became official members of the National Diaper Bank Network.

The Impact

The Diaper Collective now gets diapers and wipes to children and families in Northwest Arkansas through over 25 partner agencies.

In 2023:

  • 327,893 diapers were distributed

  • 7,185 wipes were distributed

  • 28 zip codes served throughout Benton, Washington, and Madison counties

More about diaper need

1 in 2 US families report experiencing diaper need.

Currently, no state or federal dollars are allocated to help parents with diapers, which means you can’t purchase diapers with WIC of SNAP benefits. Often times parents are forced to miss work or school because they don’t have sufficient diapers for their child.

Help eliminate diaper need.
